The E-Light

The Entertainment Light or simply the E-Light, is a nifty approach to bringing together music lovers and patio loungers. This cordless lamp encircles your patio umbrella stand and offers six high-output LED lights to illuminate the table top, while at the same time it offers well-balanced stereo speakers that can broadcast music from any music source that utilizes a standard headphone jack. The idea being that you can enjoy a nice evening on the patio with your iPod playing tunes over dinner. And since the E-Light connects directly to the umbrella stand there’s a significant decrease on clutter, while keeping the music close at hand.


The E-Light comes with 4 rechargeable NiMH batteries, of which it uses 2 at a time. With music playing and the lights on, the E-Light last for up to 6 hours. With just the light or the music on, you can expect up to double the longevity of your batteries. Also included is a charging stand that doubles as a desk lamp/music player while the device is recharging. This makes the E-Light ideal for those cottage weekends or evenings on the beach when a little light and music can make the moment all the more enjoyable.

The E-Light is not a cheap gadget, coming in at $99. But you may find that you spend enough time out on your patio or at the cottage to make this device more than worthwhile.
