If you’re like most gadget addicts these days, you haven’t been around nature in a while. If this is you (and let’s be honest, it probably is), then perhaps you should consider adding a USB-powered mini greenhouse to your cube. As stupid as it sounds, it just might be a pretty good idea for anyone who spends the majority of their waking hours around the smell of silicon and plastic. Remember that thing called oxygen?

Yeah, plants make it and we humans breathe it.

Having a nice little USB-powered oxygen generator at your workstation or on your desk just might help improve your life (at least a little bit).

Of course, most of us computer jockeys don’t have the time or attention span for raising plants, so the USB greenhouse is really perfect for us. It comes with an adjustable high-powered growth light, a four-foot USB cable, a starter pack of marigold seeds and artificial soil and software.

Unfortunately, the software used to remind you to water your greenhouse is Windows-only, but it can be plugged into either a Windows machine or a Mac.

The USB greenhouse prices in at around $20-$30US and while this product has been around for a bit (and has sold out at a couple online vendors), the
